In June 2009 we hosted our Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chain Summit 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. This was a multi-stakeholder forum for the entire food and beverage value chain - from retailer to farmer in national and global sourcing contexts - looking at cost effective strategies for defining, measuring and reducing the key agricultural impacts. Here are some comments from participants:

"The conference was very stimulating and the contacts we made were extremely valuable"
Steve Balling, Director, Agriculture & Analytical Services
Del Monte Foods
"The conference was excellent - staff, attendees, presenters and content. I learned a lot!"
Jane Knecht, Director of Business Development
Water Environment Research Foundation
"I definitely learned quite a bit at this conference through the presentations and through interactions with the people that are driving the sustainability agenda at their companies"
Rob Farris, Vice President - Business Intelligence and Performance Management Practice
Hitachi Consulting
"The success and setback s that come with sustainable territory echo from business to business: the conference format certainly supports sharing and networking to an extent that anyone who attends will leave with invaluable take-aways"
Kimberly Dickey, Environmental Sustainability Manager
Frontier Natural Products Co-op
